Product Details:

Product Overview

The KR‑216 loop tack testing rig is a compact servo‑dedicated measuring instrument for evaluating instant initial tack performance of pressure‑sensitive adhesives, self‑adhesive stickers, protective films and various adhesive tapes. It strictly complies with ASTM D6195, PSTC 16 and FINAT FTM 9 international testing protocols. The instrument forms a standard tape loop sample, brings it into contact with a flat reference substrate at constant velocity, then pulls it apart and captures peak separation force as the core initial‑tack indicator.

Different from traditional ball‑type tack testers with poor repeatability, this servo‑controlled unit delivers stable contact pressure and uniform pulling speed to minimize human‑caused deviations. Its small footprint makes it well‑suited for QC laboratories and production‑line inspection stations. It is widely adopted by label manufacturers, coating‑film factories, medical‑tape producers and third‑party adhesive‑material certification labs.

Core Product Advantages

  1. Reliable Servo Drive & High‑Precision Sensing Unit Equipped with imported closed‑loop servo motor and zero‑backlash precision ball‑screw transmission. Test speed can be continuously adjusted within 1‑500 mm/min with speed accuracy of ±0.5 %. The high‑grade load‑cell precisely captures tiny force fluctuations, guaranteeing dependable peak‑tack readings for low‑viscosity thin adhesive films.
  2. Complete Dedicated Loop‑Tack Fixture Kit The upper chuck holds tape ends and creates distortion‑free circular loops. Polished stainless‑steel substrate fully satisfies international‑standard contact‑surface requirements. All fixture components are detachable and interchangeable. Operators can rapidly switch between standard‑width 25 mm specimens and custom‑size adhesive strips without extra tooling modifications.
  3. Intuitive Micro‑Computer Control & Multi‑Channel Data Output User‑friendly physical‑button operation panel displays real‑time force and travel values. Built‑in miniature thermal printer generates test slips showing maximum, minimum and average tack‑force data. Standard RS232 communication port enables PC connection for batch‑data storage, curve plotting and editable Excel report export.
  4. Lightweight Compact All‑In‑One Alloy Frame Vertical single‑column alloy beam keeps total machine weight at merely 28 kg. Anti‑rust electrostatic‑sprayed cabinet finish. Four adjustable leveling feet stabilize the instrument on uneven countertops. Dust‑proof protective cover over ball‑screw prevents adhesive debris from entering transmission assemblies and extends service life.
  5. Dual‑Layer Hardware‑Software Safety Mechanism Combines software overload interlock plus mechanical upper‑and‑lower travel hard‑stops. When force exceeds sensor rated capacity or cross‑head reaches limit position, the equipment halts movement immediately, protecting precision load‑cell from impact damage during long‑run batch QC testing.
  6. Simple Operation & Low‑Maintenance Design No complicated programming; operators can start tests with one‑click execution. Fixture surfaces can be wiped clean with alcohol‑soaked cloth after each batch to avoid cross‑contamination from residual adhesive. Self‑lubricating transmission structure greatly lowers daily maintenance workload for routine quality‑control laboratories.

Standard Loop‑Tack Test Workflow

  1. Equipment Check‑up & Parameter Setup Switch on power supply, perform one‑touch zero‑calibration of load‑cell under empty fixture condition. Set standard test speed (300 mm/min as per international standards) on operation panel.
  2. Specimen Preparation Cut adhesive tape to standard 180 × 25 mm dimensions. Ensure adhesive side is free of dust, wrinkles and contaminants before forming the test loop.
  3. Mounting Loop‑Shaped Sample Secure both tape ends in upper chuck to build smooth downward‑facing adhesive loop; align geometric centre of loop right above stainless‑steel test substrate.
  4. Automatic Contact & Separation Test Tap start button. Cross‑head descends at set constant speed for full substrate contact, then reverses upward to peel adhesive loop away.
  5. Data Capture & Report Output System automatically locks peak tack‑force value. Users may trigger print function for hard‑copy records or export batch datasets to connected computer for comparative analysis.
  6. Post‑Test Cleaning & Power‑Off Remove adhesive residues from fixture and stainless‑steel substrate; return cross‑head to home position; cut off main power upon completion of all sample batches.
