Product Overview

The KR-108A circular plate compression resilience fixture is a manual testing jig designed to evaluate elastic recovery and permanent compression deformation of vulcanized rubber, silicone, EVA foam and flexible polymer foams. It fully complies with international testing norms including SATRA-PM64, FIA304 and ISO 815-2.
The device applies stable constant compression to standard specimens under set pressure and duration. After high-temperature aging and natural cooling, users measure thickness changes to calculate compression set value, which reflects material elasticity loss under long-term static extrusion. Widely used in auto sealing workshops, foam factories, shoe material labs and third-party accredited testing institutes.

  1. All Stainless Steel Integrated Frame

    The four guide posts, multi-layer parallel pressing plates, handwheel and transmission screw are all precision machined from anti-rust stainless steel. The parallelism between upper and lower plates is strictly controlled, ensuring uniform stress on each specimen without partial compression deviation; long-term use inside high-temperature ovens will not rust or deform.

     

    2.Handwheel Screw Compression with Built-in Spring Load Mechanism

    Large three-spoke handwheel drives trapezoidal screw to adjust compression height. Built-in standard load spring provides stable constant pressure up to 500kgf, maintaining fixed compression force throughout aging cycles without pressure attenuation. Matching dial indicator with 0–50mm measuring range realizes direct thickness reading without extra gauges.

     

    3.Multi-station Batch Test Design

    Single unit supports simultaneous loading of 3 to 27 standard specimens, greatly improving laboratory batch testing efficiency. Two standard clamping areas are reserved for foam and solid rubber separately, switching without extra accessories.

     

    4.Dual Standard Specimen Compatibility

    Suitable for two sets of standard test pieces required by ISO standards:

  • Method 1: Foam Φ29.0mm / Solid rubber Φ14.5mm
  • Method 2: Foam 25.4×25.4mm / Solid rubber Φ12.7mmMatched 9.52mm limit thickness block is equipped for standard compression ratio adjustment.

Standard Test Operation Steps

  1. Specimen Pre-ConditioningCut raw materials into standard-size blanks, place under 23℃ standard lab environment for sufficient conditioning to eliminate internal stress, and record original specimen thickness H0.
  2. Specimen Clamping & Compression AdjustmentPlace test pieces between upper and lower parallel plates, turn the handwheel clockwise to lower the pressing plate until the built-in spring reaches the preset load height, lock the screw position.
  3. High-Temperature Aging TreatmentPut the whole fixture with compressed specimens into blast drying oven, hold for specified hours under designated test temperature according to material standards.
  4. Cooling & Thickness MeasurementTake out the fixture after aging cycle, release compression and take out specimens, leave them at room temperature for 30 minutes for free elastic recovery. Read recovered thickness H2 via the dial gauge.
  5. Compression Resilience CalculationSubstitute thickness data into standard formula to compute compression set rate, take average value of parallel specimens as final test result.
