The KR-110A bench-top two roll open mill is a multifunctional lab kneading device built for rubber, plastic, masterbatch compounding and formulation research. It features independent front & rear roller electric heating modules and dual variable frequency drive systems with customizable roller speed ratios. Operated via intuitive button control panel with dual digital temperature displays, this machine delivers stable thermal environment and adjustable shear intensity for diverse polymer raw materials.
Available in four standard roller sizes from 4-inch to 10-inch, it caters to small lab trial batches and medium pilot compounding. Standard Operation Workflow

  1. Preheating & Parameter Setup

    Power on the machine, activate front and rear roller heating switches, set target temperatures via control panel and wait until temperature readings stabilize before feeding raw materials.

  2. Raw Material Mastication & Feeding

    Accurately weigh rubber/plastic base, pigments and functional additives, slowly feed the mixture into the roller nip. Repeat folding and thin-passing cycles to soften base materials and break down filler agglomerates.

  3. Roller Gap Calibration

    Adjust dual side handwheels to lock target sheet thickness, repeatedly fold and re-feed the compound to guarantee consistent color and filler dispersion.

  4. Continuous Specimen Sheeting

    After uniform mixing, pull smooth continuous sheets from roller clearance, cut into standard blanks for tensile, aging, hardness and abrasion performance testing.

  5. Shutdown & Daily Maintenance

    Turn off heating first, keep rollers rotating until surface temperature drops to room temperature before powering off. Wipe roller surfaces thoroughly and check automatic lubricant tank level for next operation.
