Product Introduction
The KR-703C automated load extrusion plastometer is a high-precision all-in-one testing device designed to quantify melt mass flow rate (MFR) and melt volume flow rate (MVR) of all thermoplastic resins. Unlike manual counterweight models, this machine features motorized weight placement and removal, drastically cutting human operation errors and labor intensity during repeated batch testing.
Under strictly stabilized heating conditions and standardized load pressure, molten polymer extrudes through a precision capillary die. The built-in high-resolution displacement sensor and touch intelligent system automatically compute flow parameters, supporting both mass-based and volume-based testing methods fully aligned with global plastic inspection standards.
This equipment is widely adopted by petrochemical plants, modified compound factories, engineering plastic manufacturers, cable material labs, university polymer research centers and CNAS accredited third-party testing laboratories.

Core Competitive Strengths
- Motorized Automatic Weight Loading & Unloading Structure
Eliminates manual lifting and stacking of heavy counterweights; operators only select target load value on the touch screen, and the mechanical lifting unit automatically transports weights to the piston top. The system precisely locks load position to avoid offset pressure, delivering consistent test force for every specimen and reducing operator fatigue during all-day QC inspection. A full set of 8 calibrated weight grades covers all mainstream standard test loads.
- Dual Independent High-Sensitivity Temperature Control System
Dual separated heating circuits equipped with two imported temperature sensing probes, monitoring temperature gradient inside the barrel simultaneously. Temperature fluctuation limited within ±0.2℃, long-term drift ≤0.5℃ over 4 continuous hours. Adjustable heating range spans 40℃ to 450℃, perfectly compatible with low-melt PP/PE and high-temperature engineering plastics like PC, PA, PPS and fluoropolymers without thermal degradation during testing.
- Premium Wear-Resistant Melt Extrusion Core Components
The heating cylinder adopts corrosion-resistant Hastelloy alloy with nitriding surface treatment; the standard capillary die is crafted from ultra-hard tungsten carbide with tight dimensional tolerances (Φ2.095±0.005mm inner diameter, 8.000±0.025mm length). The SUS304 stainless insulation outer barrel resists oxidation and rust even under long high-temperature running cycles, extending core component service life significantly.
- 7-Inch Multilingual Color Touch Intelligent Operating Terminal
Chinese & English bilingual switching built into the graphical touch interface. All test parameters (temperature, cutting interval, load grade, sample specs) can be preset and saved as dedicated material recipes. Real-time display of barrel temperature, piston displacement, MFR and MVR results; one-click call of historical batch records for side-by-side data comparison. Supports USB data export and offline report storage.
- Dual Cutting Modes & Integrated Micro Thermal Printing
Supports both manual hand cutter and optional automatic cutting assembly to meet different testing workflows. After each group of tests, the embedded mini printer instantly outputs complete test reports including material type, test temperature, applied load, MFR/MVR values and test timestamp, realizing paper-based traceable archives without external computer connection.
- High-Accuracy Displacement Acquisition System
Adopts imported Omron high-resolution photoelectric encoder with 0.01mm displacement measurement precision. The sensor tracks piston travel in real time to calculate melt volume flow rate automatically, avoiding manual ruler reading errors common on traditional machines. The whole unit passes third-party metrology calibration and meets ISO 17025 lab equipment requirements.

Standard Complete Test Operation Flow
- Equipment Preheating & Recipe Selection
Power on the touch system, select the saved material test recipe or manually set target temperature and test load; start heating and wait for barrel temperature to stabilize for 20–30 minutes to eliminate temperature gradient interference.
- Raw Material Feeding & Preheating
Fully dry plastic pellets to standard moisture content, pour the required sample quantity into the heating cylinder, insert the piston rod and start material thermal soaking timing according standard requirements.
- Automatic Load Placement
Tap the load matching button on screen; the machine’s lifting mechanism automatically transfers the selected counterweight stack onto the piston top without manual handling.
- Extrusion & Sample Cutting
After stable melt flows out from the capillary die, use the hand cutter (or auto cutting module) to slice extruded strands at fixed time intervals, collect cut samples for mass weighing or rely on displacement sensor for volume calculation.
- Automatic Result Calculation & Report Printing
The touch system computes MFR and MVR values instantly after collecting test data; users trigger the print function to generate complete standardized inspection slips with all test parameters recorded.
- Post-Test Cleaning & Power Off
Remove residual molten plastic inside the barrel and die after the unit fully cools down; retract weights to storage position, cut off main power and store cleaning tools for next batch testing.
