The KR-735 bench-top miniature single screw extruder is a compact lab-scale plastic processing machine dedicated to small-batch polymer formula verification, melt plasticization testing and miniature sample preparation. It adopts optimized single-screw conveying plasticization structure, only requiring tiny raw material consumption to simulate full industrial extrusion melting, shearing and homogenization processes.
This unit supports matching multiple auxiliary equipment including water cooling tank, traction haul-off unit and pelletizer, forming an integrated lab pelletizing production line. It is widely applied in polymer R&D labs, masterbatch factories, modified plastic manufacturers and university material teaching rooms for new material formulation screening, extrusion process parameter optimization and small test strip, filament, particle sample making. It can process PP, PE, ABS, PVC, PLA biodegradable resin, filled composite and recycled plastic raw materials.

2.Nitrided Alloy Screw & Barrel, Easy Disassembly & Cleaning
Screw and barrel are manufactured from 38CrMoAlA alloy with deep nitriding anti-wear treatment, resisting corrosion from flame retardants, inorganic fillers and colorants. Quick-release structural design allows full disassembly of screw within minutes, thorough residue cleaning between different color/formula batches to avoid cross-contamination.
3.Three-Zone Independent PID Precise Temperature Control
Separated heating circuits for feeding section, barrel and extrusion die head, each zone equipped independent digital temperature controller. Working temperature scope covers ambient temperature up to 350℃ with ±1℃ stable control accuracy, adapting low-melting polyolefin and high-temperature engineering plastics separately. Built-in silent cooling fan at feeding port prevents premature melting and material blockage.
4.Stable Variable Speed Drive & Uniform Melt Plasticization
370W low-noise variable frequency motor realizes stepless screw speed adjustment, stable material conveying without flow fluctuation. 21:1 optimized L/D screw ratio ensures sufficient melting, shearing and homogenization of raw materials, evenly mixing pigments, fillers and lubricants inside the melt.
5.Modular Auxiliary Line Matching Functionality
Universal discharge die interface can freely combine water cooling tank, traction machine and cutting pelletizer to form complete lab granulation line. Optional film casting, filament winding auxiliary units are available to produce thin sheets and 3D printing filament samples according to test demands.
6.Full Safety Protection Layout
Independent emergency stop button and power cut-off protection; multi-layer cabinet ventilation heat dissipation slits prevent overheating during long continuous running. All high-temperature heating areas are wrapped with heat insulation shell to avoid operator scald risks in daily lab operation.

Standard Lab Extrusion Operation Workflow
- Equipment Preheating & Parameter Setup
Clean screw and barrel completely, install standard extrusion die. Set target temperature for feeding zone, barrel and die head on digital control panel, wait 15 minutes for full temperature stabilization.
- Raw Material Feeding
Pour fully dried plastic pellets into stainless funnel feeding hopper; avoid mixed moisture and impurities to prevent bubble generation inside extruded melt strands.
- Screw Speed Adjustment & Melt Extrusion
Start variable frequency drive, slowly raise screw rotation speed until uniform smooth melt strand flows out from die head; adjust speed to control stable strand thickness according test requirements.
- Cooling & Traction Pelletizing (Full Line Mode)
Guide hot melt strand into circulating water cooling tank for rapid shaping, then send to traction haul-off unit for uniform tension conveying, finally cut into uniform plastic pellets via rotary cutter.
- Sample Collection & Performance Testing
Collect finished pellets or continuous strips for subsequent melt index, tensile, thermal stability and dispersion testing to evaluate formula processing performance.
- Post-Test Disassembly & Cleaning
Cool all heating zones down below 80℃, disassemble screw and barrel, scrape residual plastic thoroughly with dedicated cleaning tools before switching new test materials.
