RIGHT combines the U.S. standard ASTM D1092 and domestic capillary rheometer for integrated and innovative instrumentation, which greatly improves the overall performance of shield tail sealing grease and provides effective testing equipment for further product development. Under the specified conditions, the flow rate of grease through a certain aperture capillary tube, expressed in g/min. Accurate equipment than the butter gun only qualitative and not quantitative. Provides an effective solution to compare the pumpability difference of different brands of grease and monitor the stability of different batches of products in our factory. Provide theoretical support to change the formula for different seasons in different regions.

The KR-722D dedicated capillary rheometer is professionally developed for quantitative pumpability testing of shield tail sealing grease in underground tunnel construction. Designed combining ASTM D1092 international grease viscosity standard and domestic engineering material test specifications, the system simulates actual on-site pressure injection conditions of tunnel shield equipment, accurately measuring grease extrusion flow rate (g/min) through standard capillary dies to evaluate its pumping performance, adhesion and sealing lubrication capacityASTM Inter….
Different from simple manual extrusion tools that only deliver qualitative judgment, this full-automatic servo testing equipment realizes full digital collection of pressure, displacement and temperature data. It generates standardized test reports to support raw material incoming inspection, batch stability monitoring and seasonal formula adjustment for shield grease manufacturers, tunnel engineering construction units and third-party geotechnical material certification labs.

    The stand-alone test host adopts rigid thick steel frame structure with maximum 250mm piston travel, equipped emergency stop button and running status indicator lights. Standard Complete Test Operation Process

  1. Preheating Equipment & Pre-Sample Treatment
    Turn on the circulating temperature cabinet, set target test temperature and keep constant for 30 minutes. Take shield sealing grease sample and stir evenly to eliminate internal bubbles and agglomerates that affect extrusion flow data.
  2. Sample Filling & Die Installation
    Disassemble the charging barrel, fill grease uniformly without voids, install the standard Φ3.8mm capillary die at the bottom and lock the assembly on the test bench.
  3. Test Parameter Configuration On PC
    Connect the host to the matched industrial computer, set target pressure, constant temperature holding time and extrusion recording duration according to engineering test requirements, save custom test recipe for repeated batch detection.
  4. Automatic Constant Pressure Extrusion Test
    Start the servo drive program; the piston pushes the grease sample through the standard die under stable preset pressure. The system continuously records extrusion time and discharged grease mass in real time.

  5. Pumpability Index Calculation & Report Export
    After the extrusion cycle ends, the software automatically calculates the grease flow rate (g/min) and apparent pumpability coefficient. Operators can overlay multiple batch curves for comparison and print formal test reports directly.
  6. Post-Test Cleaning & Equipment Shutdown
    Cool the test cavity to room temperature, disassemble the charging barrel and capillary die, thoroughly wipe residual grease with dedicated cleaning tools, cut off temperature circulation and main power supply to finish daily testing workflow.
